The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship recognises up to 100 exceptional first-year postgraduate students in selected future-ready disciplines. Eligible applicants are resident Indian citizens pursuing regular full-time postgraduate programmes in fields including computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics and computing, engineering, renewable and new energy, material science and life sciences. Selected scholars can receive up to ₹6 lakh over the programme.
The PG programme supports high-potential postgraduate students in future-ready technical and life-science disciplines. Selection combines academic achievement, aptitude and expert evaluation.

Confirm academic threshold
Confirm the GATE score or undergraduate CGPA route that applies to you and prepare evidence.
Complete the application
Provide personal, academic and extracurricular information, two reference letters, the required essays and supporting documents.
Take the aptitude test
Complete the mandatory 60-minute online aptitude test covering verbal, analytical/logical and numerical ability.
Complete evaluation
Shortlisted candidates proceed through expert-panel evaluation and virtual interview stages before the scholar announcement.
Up to 100 postgraduate scholars are selected for the 2026-27 cycle.
Eligible areas include computer science, AI, mathematics and computing, electrical/electronics, chemical, mechanical, renewable/new energy, material science and life sciences, subject to the official programme list.
Applicants need a GATE score between 550 and 1,000 or an undergraduate CGPA of 7.5 or above (or normalized equivalent), subject to the current rules.
Selected scholars can receive up to ₹6 lakh over the duration of the postgraduate programme.
Applications for the 2026-27 cycle close on 5 October 2026.
