About this opportunity

Annual ₹30,000 support for eligible girl students pursuing their first undergraduate degree or diploma. Round 2 applications for the 2026 cohort can be submitted January 10–31, 2027; registration and document preparation are available beforehand.

Azim Premji Foundation reduces financial barriers to higher education for girls. Selection is not based on merit, caste, income or religion. There is no age limit, but all programme eligibility conditions apply.

Selected scholars receive ₹30,000 annually for their 2–5-year undergraduate programme: up to ₹1.5 lakh over five years. Funds may cover tuition or other education expenses.

Recent passport photograph with a plain background and unobstructed face; JPEG/JPG/PNG, 30–500 KB.
Aadhaar scan showing name, gender, birth date and photo; JPEG/JPG/PNG/PDF, 30–500 KB.
Original Class 10 and 12 marksheets, clearly scanned with school and authentication details; JPEG/JPG/PNG/PDF, 30–500 KB.
Bank proof: passbook first page or last month's bank-attested statement showing name, account, IFSC and branch. Active, self-operated savings account in the applicant's sole name at a scheduled commercial bank; NEFT transfers above ₹10,000 must be permitted.
College proof: bona fide certificate or admission tuition receipt showing applicant, institution, course, start date, study year and duration, with appropriate seal/signature. Receipt needs serial number and transaction date.
Other than the photograph, accepted uploads are JPEG/JPG/PNG/PDF, 30–500 KB. Avoid cropped, altered, AI-generated or unreadable documents.

Continuing support and existing scholars

Existing 2024 and 2025 cohort scholars use the separate renewal process, with valid proof of continued college enrolment for 2026–27. Their first-batch renewal deadline is October 30, 2026; this is separate from the January window for new applicants.

For existing scholars renewing in 2026–27, the Foundation specifies two ₹15,000 instalments into their bank accounts. This renewal payment schedule should not be assumed to be the new-cohort disbursal timetable.

Eligibility

Girl students who passed Classes 10 and 12 through regular study in government schools or colleges in eligible regions.
First-year regular admission in academic session 2026–27 to a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma lasting 2–5 years; first such qualification after Class 12.
College may be anywhere in India, government or credible private. Distance learning and later-year new applicants are excluded.
Eligible school regions: Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi (NCT), Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand.
Excluded: students admitted to Azim Premji University in 2026–27 or earlier, and current or former Wipro scholarship recipients, including Santoor.
